That is a good point. If you are breaking the law in the trading post, you should keep in mind that you are then breaking a law in front of several armed officials who would all, realistically enforce some kind of punishment. To break the law in front of them and get away with it is an abuse of game mechanics, and the lack of an intuitive AI. If a DM was watching, he or she would likely smack you for doing that by posessing one of the guards, and fining you, removing you, or even imprisoning you if you retaliate or resist.

If you want to break the law IC, look out for the IC preventions, which in this case equate to guards.

Use your common sense peoples! Of course the Exigo won't care about your kitty cat, but if you wander around with a huge spider or a bloody great bear then the story may be different.

The rule of common sense applies, bringing in a giant spider or cougar into the trading post will most likely get you bopped on the head with a boot to your arse... that's if you don't even get denied by the guards on the outside watching every single person go in.

Anyway I think I'll take my cue from this. That ends my interest in this topic.
