The only thing that I personally believe Sundren lacks is a story. Quests can wait, templates can be tossed aside, a Story (and a good one) more than makes up for these features.
From what I have seen in the past few months (weeks? No idea...) Stories has been limited to minor DM interaction with certain PCs and most of them have amounted to little more than short-story-type tales that changed something for the character and having little impact on the entirety of the server. What has been lacking is something that joins the PCs together or rips them apart, be it an open war, subtle war of politics, or anything that is conflict...
As it stands right now I feel like we are just floating in a Sandbox world that no matter what we build up it will always come crashing down and it will bear little to no significance. It feels as if DMs just play with the PCs offering them fun events, but events that are overall tangible and will do little to impact more than a few people.
Whenever I log on I just... wander, and I admit that is amusing at times, but overall I just feel lost in the server sometimes as if there is no direction and little reason to be there.
Not trying to bash anyone or anything, just saying a storyline (a Major Plotline) would be more than appreciated.

) I think more people need to be interested in doing things like that. Working to finding like minded people that WANT to have a big impact. That want to bring about world changeing things. Most of the time though with what I said, I get "No, it clashes with devolopers story ideas" or "to epic, not ready for it". More people though wanting to have theese plans, and want to make impacting changes would have a postive impact in my opnion. Better then sitting around a tradeing post or crossroads bitching about people, waiting for a dm to entertain you.
