It's a lot, yep. Probably should have gone on some other item besides rings, but that cat is out of the bag now.

But regen isn't as strong in PVP as it is in PVE. I am much less concerned about balance in PVE than PVP.

Trust me, when players are hitting 60-80 non crits and 100+ crits a hit with 6-8 attacks, 6regen means nothing.

This x100 and why Phantom Lamb has the jist of it. Regen factors into PvP just about never because as has been said a few times in this thread, PvP is generally over in a few rounds. It really only applies to prolonged PvE grinds and is just another way to complement bandages and heal potions as a means of keeping your melee dudes up and running.

What really tickles my funny bone is that 95% of magic items in Sundren are toned down to the point of uselessness (not a criticism! just stating the obvious) but Rings of Regeneration work at 300% their regular strength

I guess someone really wanted to make tanks more tanky?

Or maybe we just have really hardy Trolls in these parts.

Yes, I realise my RP writing sucks. Just be thankful I keep it short

My experience with regen and vamp weapons is that even in CvC Vamp weapons win out. The passive rings are nice to keep heeling down, but if your toon has the ability to land 3 our of 4 attacks a round that is 9 hp back, dual wield now your landing 6 attacks around out of your 7-8 so we go from 9 hp to 18 a round. add to that your passive ring or rings and now we have 21 to 24 Hp back in a round. Most classes can push a high 30's to 40's AC, and can manage some sort of DR. so monster hit you for 20 - dr of 5 to 10, Plus 24 hp back and your simply not getting hurt. ((I did this I know it works though vamp weapons alone I could come back from near death to full heath popping the right powers or abilitys))

Those kind of numbers do translate into CvC while not as much of a big deal it still can turn the tide of battle when two Charters are very close in power.

If you can hit that often in a round with a melee fighter with a decent build, you're likely able to deal enough damage in two or three rounds to end the PvP.
