True Seeing does not show stealthers. They use concealment to hide, not invisibility or other magical things. It's a different mechanism.

while emoting and rp generally are preffered I always refrain from it when hiding. It doesn't only prevent metagaming it prevents the suspicion of it, which I find a whole deal greater for both parties...My'athvin Simaryl - Elven Mhaornathil

Interesting. I know that True Seeing pierces darkness, both mundane and magical. Considering how many stealthers hide in darkness and shadows, it stands to reason True Seeing should probabaly offer a pretty healthy spot bonus. Ive seen this done on many servers as well. Most rogues aren't walking around in gilly suits afterall.
I usually don't bother about stealth RP either, however there are certainly times when I just hate it. When people walk around me talking while in mundane stealth, when they sneak through crowded rooms or walk through doorways I am activley looking at... that sort.
So far I haven't had that be an issue on here. Though given the number of dangerous offensive classes with HiPs on here, I would hate to be in PvP with any of them. I think ill make sure my PC sticks to serving soup. At least shadowdancers were in general weak as a trade off for their HiPs.

It's all there in the spell description.
True seeing, however, does not penetrate solid objects. It in no way confers X-ray vision or its equivalent. It does not negate concealment, including that caused by fog and the like. True seeing does not help the viewer see through mundane disguises, spot creatures who are simply hiding...Dalian - Shapeshifter of the Tuatha Dé Dúlra

Per the wiki:
-Speaking while Stealthed: Stealthed characters who speak run the risk of automatically failing their move silent rolls. Anyone who overhears a stealthed character speak publicly, whether using the /say or /whisper channel, will be alerted to their presence. However, emotes done in these channels do not count.

Triggers are both labour intensive and a pretty shoddy make-do-and-mend fix.
True Seeing isn't X-Ray vision, while I can see it being an argument against some uses of HiPs it shouldn't give a blanket benefit to a characters ability to see a specific thing. Sure, they can see the unhidden thing that just happens to be invisibe, but they may not be able to spot the hidden thing.
If we actually had a LoS based stealth system that took dynamic lighting into consideration for both HiPs based people and traditional stealthers then much of this wouldn't be an issue. Sadly we don't and we have to reply on a shonky system and good etiquette.
Otherwise stealth is pretty much a dead horse already flogged down to Tesco's burgers. It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

One more question, if you are standing still can people still detect you with Listen? If not then its fine the way it is I guess. You run in, they get 1 or two chances to Listen you out before you are standing still and it's just Hide from there on in. Hide is far easier to buff up to the 55-60 range than MS is.
I'm not sure I believe you that it's an entirely opposed roll with no critical failure or success though. Bloodmaim seem to spot me about 10% of the time and I find it hard to believe they have Listen ranks of 30+, which is what they would need to hear me in an opposed roll even if they rolled a 20.
Unless your average Bloodmaim Orcs are all level 22+ and have the Alertness feat that isUTC+8
Yes, I realise my RP writing sucks. Just be thankful I keep it short

Some of them have crazy good spot and listen skills, I won't spoil the fun by giving out figures but I assure you it's an opposing role.It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.
