  • Add Fast Stealth to rogue bonus feats.

Rogue Talents: As a rogue gains experience, she learns a number of talents that aid her and confound her foes. Starting at 2nd level, a rogue gains one rogue talent. She gains an additional rogue talent for every 2 levels of rogue attained after 2nd level. A rogue cannot select an individual talent more than once.

    ...

Fast Stealth (Ex): This ability allows a rogue to move at full speed using the Stealth skill without penalty.

    ...
    Riot, pls.

    This gets my vote,

It's almost impossible to properly utilise the stealth feature in a party environment because stealth limits the speed too much, this is primarily a problem because every one who isn't a stealth class tends to be too damn impatient to wait for the rogue to head up and do his sneak sneak thing.

I certainly understand why the speed decrease should logically happen, but after all the times rogues have to try and pick the exact moment to hit stealth so they don't get left behind you would have thought that some of them might have trained themselves to move more rapidly.

I may be wrong here, but the feat [Swift and Silent] dosen't function. It's supposed to provide a speed boost while stealthed that never seems to happen.

That being said, I certainly like the idea in the OP

Kit's correct - the Swift and Silent feat is all broken.

If the Ranger Camouflage (level 13 feat) could be modified to function in all environments then that would be perfect. I've a nagging feeling though that the whole stealth system is one of those horrible hardcoded things.

Maybe worth looking into, if it's doable then it would be great.

I agree, they should certainly be allowed to take it if they want to be capable of running in stealth. How many times I've seen the Rogue/Assassin reach the enemy just as they are defeated and not even have time for a single stab :P

I would be opposed to them getting the ability free (without spending a feat) though. Since I feel this ability is one of the hallmark cool things about Rangers, and what makes them such good scouts!

All my no. I feel that the ranger camoflage feat should be exclusive to rangers, just like proper hips should be exclusive to SD's and SA dice be exclusive to rogues and their relevant PrC's. Ofcourse Im biased, but what are the point of the class system if anyone fits into the same niche?

Rogues are technically supposed to be able to recoup some of their movement speed with the Swift and Silent feat though. The only reason they don't is because the feat is bugged.

If the bugged feat cant be fixed, then I would support!

AFAIK it was left useless by obsidian, to prevent it's use. It's 0.75 movement speed in any case. Figures.

I would be in full support if it restricted to the level 10+ rogue talents.

Hatin' is what I do best. As previously mentioned anything but restricting it to 10+ talents is a slap in the face to those poor, poor rangers.

Just because rangers suck doesn't mean rogues gotta.

Rogues are supposed to be a little better than rangers at stealth, I would think. Besides, I've four words for rangers: Hide in Plain Sight.
