    And yes, you've always been able to have your druid/ranger pet and a summon. Still can.

      Oh well maybe you cant have a summon and your familiar out... I know there is some combination... maybe I just thought it was that way cause of that.

        I know from personal experience that it is possible to have an animal companion, familier, and Summon all active at the same time, as they are all from different sources (Ranger/Druid/Cleric class ability, Sorcerer/Wizard ability, Spell)
