I'm looking forward to tomorrows giant flaming argument. I've got .gifs to spare!

Rich does hit the nail on the head though, Cornuto's picked it up and will look into it, there's little need to keep tit-for-tatting. I don't really want to have to lock the thread or place people on the naughty step; there could be some constructive input yet to come. But if needs must then it'll be done.

Give it a rest, please? it isn't showing Sundren in a very good light.

      Thanks!

In the Obsidian game engine, without See Invisibility or similar, you can not. This is why Greater Invisibility, after a hostile action, removes the invisibility but grants 50% concealment: the targets being attacked should be able to identify the source of the attack and go after it.

Edit for additional info: Greater Invisibility and Improved Invisibility are the same thing, I'm pretty sure.

Therefore, Greater Invisibility was coded to remove the invisibility affect and grant the formerly invisible creature 50% concealment, which is what invisible creatures get when they're attacked. Retributive Invisibility does not play by this rule and is therefore broken.

Yeah, I got way out of hand there. I'm ashamed of myself.

Damn, son. Better call Tyrone about this thread.

Ok I don't think this thread is too productive anymore, but the sentiment of the OP has been heard and acknowledged.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

              One last thing.

This spell used to work better, but one of the last two patches Obsidian broke invisibility/blindness mechanics. I mean broke the hell out of them.

I don't know if this will change but I can acknowledge it it is indeed broken.

Every warlock isn't at fault for using it.
