There is already a plan in place to deal with lock boxes. We are planning to put a storage in the temple of waukeen that players can get the key to.

- Chamberpot (clean your own, no housekeeping)
-Straw mattress

No, actally.. The Black Hand. I've seen that place, it's seriously unsanitary. Lice and insects ahoy. Perhaps an outbreak of crabs amongst the initiates. Or an outbreak of Screwfly in the chambers of the high ranking.

I understand that some people like the idea of basically owning a room, but imo the rent should be changed from the maximum of 2 weeks to a maximum of 1-3 days, leaning towards 3. This would minimize the problem of finding an inn room, since players will have to keep on top of rent payments.

Anyone who is serious about obtaining and keeping a room will not be impacted by this.

I frequently hear that it is difficult to obtain a room only to head to Grizzly's Embrace and find that there are few open. The same applies to the inn in Port A.

I obtain a room as soon as I can with any character I create. This allows me the flexibility to store all of the items I find (up to a limit of 142) until I either A) join a faction and can secure better prices for my loot or B) exchange the items for better gear or essences.

If chests were available outside of rooms I would not be so eager to secure and maintain them. That said, when a character of mine reaches a certain level I find rooms are critical to RP sessions. I have actually given rooms to other characters because I felt they needed a place to meet and entertain people to discuss faction related business.

Perhaps when chests are available at the bank or in faction areas the demand for rooms will drop . But as it currenlty stands the only way to routinely access a chest is by having a room... hence the demand.

Faction areas as well as the Temple of Waukeen will provide storage services that link to the same chests as inns.

We have no plans to change anything else in regards to the inn system.

Nothing else will need to be changed if the Factions and Waukeen temple will be getting the storage access as well. I'm looking forward to those going in, it will be nice to have to only worry about keeping inn rooms on characters that have RP reasons to have the rooms, rather than having to find them for any character that wants to store stuff.
