To be fair, the "Good guy" jail is manned by blind men and cripples. It's not really a jail so much as a bed and a meal for a night.

Unless you're nonevil, in which case, it's a helluva jail.

Foogoo has been making brilliant inroads into making the sundren jails effective and worthwhile.

Jails do bring up problems with player on player perming issues, something we've always taken pains to avoid. Personally I'd be in favour of jail time costing vitality, giving people a reason to avoid being arrested.

As for bh jails or facilities. It's possible.

People are talking about perming and health and this and that. All I am talking about is a place a subdued character can be taken by a faction where 'the cavalry' can't just show up from some sort of 'sending'.

As far as reason to avoid being jailed... I lost all my main gear last jail experience. That's a pretty good fkin reason. Seeing as to the 'good guys' get to pick who gets sent to prison and the same 'good guys' aren't subjected to this risk, I don't think the system is fair right now.
        Active Characters:

        Roman Miellthorpe -- Crypt Carver
Church -- Bastion priest of the 'tough order'
        Dutch -- Blacksmith
Canus -- Of the Glade Tribe
Gorri Blackbeard -- Dwarf Stout of the Legion

It's unlikely that the BH will regain the ability to whip people back off to the citadel (a much, much harder place to stage a rescue from than the jails have ever been).

If the players were to establish or secure a non-portalised location for the BH then it shouldn't be to hard for them to set up a torture/holding spot in the same.

Hey, we rescued someone from the BH citadel once.

I mean sure, it took nearly twenty of us, half of us being level twenty, all of us being at least fifteen or higher.

And sure, we had to walk through mossdale, the graveyard, fight a lich, walk through eight maps of tight caves, and then fight through into the citadel, where every enemy is a CR 15+ creature.

But we totally saved her. Basically, after redjack got on his alt to hand us the body, since it was in a place you can never get to if you aren't BH, but we totally rescued someone.

And Gorri, the reason you didn't get busted out was because the vampires usually did the busting. They knew the guards, so they walked in, casually opened the cell, and then walked out with every bad guy we incarcerated. Alright, by "knew the guards" I mean "Casually slaughtered the guards" and by walked in, I mean "Slaughtered everyone in their path" and by "opened the cell" I mean ripped the bars from their hinges because they are vampires, and by "walked out with them" I mean....walked out with them...since everyone was...you know, dead.

Makes you feel better, Gorri, Tigen's been in jail like four times, each for several days, so I know how you feel. No one ever busted me out. Heck, I only ever got one set of visitors through all four times. Next time we're both in jail, we'll just keep each other company though.
Tigen Amastacia: Died in events so you didn't have to.

Quintin Ulsteris: Nice-guy Legion engineer, deceased son of House Ulsteris.

Clandriel Cain: AKA "Fire-eyes" AKA "Demon hunter" AKA "OH MY GOD, WHY IS HE STILL STABBING ME!!??"

Oh yes the nearly famous rescue of the fair maiden from Clive's clutches.
I remember the sinking feeling as an endless chain of sparkling armed hero's poured through the door of the citadel. Clive was attempting to talk his way out of that mess until that AI or perhaps Saulus controlled NPC ran past and threw a spell into the masses.
Yes the good guys triumphed and the young lass's corpse was saved that dark night.
Give us back our ability to kidnap innocent virgins and I can guarantee more exciting action at the super secret massive fortress of Doom.

Couldn't we just bury people alive in the vast necropolis after casting a geas on them forbidding them from using sending? It's so much easier and we don't have to tolerate goody goody scum in our country clubhouse of evil.

I mean heck, we don't even need to dig it ourselves we can just get the undead guys to do it. "Yo, undead dudes dig us a hole will ya? You guys like digging everyone knows that, you might find treasure, or even friends!" How could they resist those odds!?

I think the Black Hand is enough of a circus without taking on the role of Dick Dasterdly and kidnapping damsels and tying them to railroad tracks.

                        Thanks, Doubt.

I agree with the intent of this thread, though. The bad guys should be able to take captives and cause carnage without trekking through dozens of zones. Maybe the BH should seek to establish such a place!

But yes... the Sundren jail was a helluva jail for Lasvi - for the few hours she was actually in it.
