Just to change the class topic abit, what about something of Bonded summoner type from Miniatures handbook? There classes for undead but i havent notice one for Elementals in genral. The class basicly lets you keep an Elemental at you're side and it grows as you gain level. Spell casting is 5/10 for the class as well.

Just ... avoid the class and save yourself the heartbreak and tear soaked pillows when you sleep.
Trust me on this
A lot of classes seem to be just there needlessly, and I believe Triadic Knight is one of them. I dunno why every faith, combination of other classes, and such needs it's own PrC, but that seems to be the way of things in DnD.
Give me a Rogue/Wizard over an 'Arcane Trickster' any day.Running across the mountains, attacking with an oversized scalpel, cometh Helga Great-Wyrm! And she gives a mighty bellow:
"Brace yourself, oh human speck of dust! You are made of meat and I am very hungry!"

Combine your sneak attack with wracking touch (which is a level 2 spell contrary to the wiki; level 5) and you are mobile spellslinging death!
*edit* Since we are talking custom classes. Scout base class from complete adventurer?Originally posted by roguethreeIf I had my way, clerics would have spell failure and a d6 hit die. And Favored Souls wouldn't exist.

If it can be represented by base classes, it dosen't need a PrC, it needs feats to empower the concept.
Eldritch Knight (Fighter/Wizard), Frenzied Berserker(Crazier Barbarian), Warpriest (Fighter/Cleric) etc, all examples of this.
I still like PrC's such as Dragon Disciple, Master of Radiance, Shadowdancer, Horned Harbinger, Master of Many Forms, etc, since they tend to go outside the realms of core classes into new concepts, rather than just being a more mechanically effective way of making a multiclass character.
(Side point: I'm picking faults with the outright design of DnD 3.5 (One remedied in Pathfinder, woot), not suggesting we remove 'hybrid core' style PrC classes from this server at all.)Last edited by Root; 05-24-2011, 06:29 PM.Running across the mountains, attacking with an oversized scalpel, cometh Helga Great-Wyrm! I'd rather you all take commoner for 5 levels and then get to select any base class as a 'PRC' style option.
(I'm joking of course)
It's three levels of commoner.
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

Heck, Shadowdancer in NWN could be replaced by giving Rogues HiPS as a bonus feat at 10th or above. In PnP it has cooler stuff that separates it, though.
I mean, RP wise, there's little difference between a Fighter with all the focus feats for a single weapon, and a Weapon Master.Running across the mountains, attacking with an oversized scalpel, cometh Helga Great-Wyrm! And she gives a mighty bellow:

Imagine a Wizard.
Now kill its Fortitude save, make its base stats all 9-11, and take away its spells.
