As a consistent player of waaaah! favored souls, I agree on the WoF changes. As it is, the spell is far too powerful. The only spell that comes close to it as an Instant I Win is Bigby's Forceful Hand, which affects only one target and has a material component cost. Word of Faith does not. Additionally, Bigby's does not consistently work against high-strength targets, where as WoF works automatically on everything.

My solution: remove the blinding effect as it is. Make it a debuff to attack or miss chance, as noted, without imposing the Blind condition -- which is, as GBX noted, utterly broken. If the spell has a save, it will be mostly useless as it's hard to get save DCs very high, but that's okay. There are a lot of mostly useless but situationally useful spells. If it has no save, then it's just another area-of-effect debuff and not a no-chance spell.

Or druid's, due to the spell Owl's Insight.

And most monsters of that level have a Fort save out the roof. ^_^ I think. I honestly know very little about casting-based casters. Funny how that works.

          But as reiterated, in support!

This thread is so far off topic and turned into spell changes and whatever.

To Original Poster, no we won't be making blind fight immune to blindness. If people want to discuss spell changes, start a new thread.
