As a consistent player of waaaah! favored souls, I agree on the WoF changes. As it is, the spell is far too powerful. The only spell that comes close to it as an Instant I Win is Bigby's Forceful Hand, which affects only one target and has a material component cost. Word of Faith does not. Additionally, Bigby's does not consistently work against high-strength targets, where as WoF works automatically on everything.
My solution: remove the blinding effect as it is. Make it a debuff to attack or miss chance, as noted, without imposing the Blind condition -- which is, as GBX noted, utterly broken. If the spell has a save, it will be mostly useless as it's hard to get save DCs very high, but that's okay. There are a lot of mostly useless but situationally useful spells. If it has no save, then it's just another area-of-effect debuff and not a no-chance spell.
