I'd rather sacrifice a little AC to have the option to get the hell away from a bad situation

So choosing to use it or not to use it would be tactical options of which the value depends on circumstance. That's really how powerful spells like that should work to begin with.

Note that you can also toss it on a dwarven defender to great effect. It's not always about what you cast on yourself

Stonebody has been the staple spell for cleric/favored soul leveling. Seriously, watch how they spike in XP and levels when they finally obtain the spell. I don't think it should be nerfed though, because the longer people worry about Stonebody, the more they aren't realizing how overpowered the paladins' half-caster level and 4 levels of spells are. Noobs.
