  • PrC suggestion?

I am inclined to suggest one of two possibilities: One- A new PrC very similar to the Assassin class though for good/neutral alignments. Two- Opening the assassin class to at least the neutral align, since in all honesty I wouldnt expect many good aligns taking it. I am aware that there is the Shadowbane stalker but I would like to see a non-caster type like the assassin. I know you have a ton on your plates (Love you guys ) but I would like it if this could be taken into consideration. Thank you.

This gets requested all the time. See other threads for responses.

Re-using the thread - no need to open another that is about the same thing

I suggest you add (or let me add, GBX :P ) the Shadowcraft Mage. Minus the gnome racial requirement, because
      1. racial requirements suck
      2. it limits the characters that can benefit from it
[3. no one wants to be a gnome - they were even moved to the MM :P ]

While I am at it, could you do something about Shadow Conjuration and Shadow Evocation lines of spells, or in general, add some other illusion spells? Like, I don't know, some illusionary summons (such as the fakeable creatures generated by a Silent/Minor/Major Image spell) that are harmless but that screw the AI targeting priorities in case the enemies don't disbelieve.

Mirror Images is wonderful, but you don't win a fight just by casting it over and over, if you get what I mean.
And really, using Shadow Conjuration (level 4 spell) to cast... Mage Armor (level 1 spell) is kinda... stupid. Expecially since the spell can imitate any Conjuration spell of level 3-, and at level 3 there's, guess what, IMPROVED Mage Armor. XD
Now it would be cool if the spells actually opened a nice little window to let you pick through ALL the imitable spells, but I'd also be happy if the sub-spells selections were improved.

Did I give away that I'm playing an illusionist?

Request denied... mainly because I'm not playing an illusionist and there's a giiiiiiant stack of work to do already. Not to mention I had trouble following your post on exactly what you wanted

How about a Lumberjack, 'cause it's ok. He could sleep all night and work all day! Chop down trees, skip and jump, and like to press wild flowers.

So there is no chance of Assassin being opened up to neutral align?

About as much chance as polymorph becoming issue free.

              Edit:
The nature of the assassin class as it exists is evil, Jai V put together a very nice post explaining why - I'd suggest taking a look at that.

Yes, I've previously suggested (and we seriously need a tongue in cheek emoticon) otherwise, but the simple fact of the matter is that killing people for money is not a good, or even neutral, act.

I think Fezzik needs to be put down. Any takers?

I believe Uri will have a death squad enroute as I type.

I should have made a Gnome MoMF. A Gnome that hates being gnomish so much it lives in other forms

                      Ooh.. You've inspired me!

I need to make a Druidic gnome who believes that mankind's existence is a blight on the balance of nature - The only way to resolve this is through (word of the day) Omnicide.

                      Omnicide and possibly robots.

I should slap both of you for even suggesting a gnome hippie.

He'll have a pet badger and call him Kenneth.

                          Kenneth: Doom Badger.

                          Fine. I'll ignore gnome druids.

Hows about a line of steam-powered constructs - Advantages include magical resistance and immunity to being disjunctioned. Downsides include tendency to suffer boiler detonation when destroyed, and occasional attempts at world domination (mostly due to being fed the wrong kind of punch card).

Back that up with a line of ray guns (Warlock blasts) and some red jackets & pith helmets and we're all set for Operation Gunboat Civility.

I was with you up till the point of "ray guns". Tisk, tisk, they should be flame throwers.

                              Dr Grordbort disagrees.

(Got a copy of Warren Ellis' Ignition City yesterday, hurrah for raygun based dismemberment!)

Personal flamethrowers are an option however (on use: Burning Hands)

A few constructs with the right flame/beam throwing attachments and that backwater druid grove'll be civilised nice and quickly, perhaps it could be replaced with something wholesome and decent, like a croquet lawn or tea and bun shop.
