I say let them rest in fullplate...

...provided we also add in racial and armor modified movement speeds. Muahahahahahaha....

Actually Heavy armor would be good to wear in tight confines where mobility is limited.
Swords have always been an expensive weapon compared to an axe or a hammer.

Polearms such as a halberd were made littrally crush armor, a wellplaces hit from a halberd can cleave a man in two regardless if he's wearing plate or not.

Anyway im going of my point.

Why not just leave it as it is or just make it so you cant rest at all in heavy armor?

        Regards.

Good point. I was thinking about REALLY tight confines where you might get wedged in place if you're not wearing something more close-fitting or flexible than full plate, or where the ground might be uneven and imbalancing. This would be challenging to represent in NWN2, of course.

I agree that if you're manning (or dwarf-ing) the shield wall in a narrow passage you'd want good honest dwarven plate.

Besides all this, the fact remains that you actually can rest in armour, but you need to live with the penalties afterwards. There's nothing unrealistic about that, and if you want to play a character that rests fully armoured, you'd best just RP him/her as being exhausted all the time

I think it would be much more realistic, rather than adding feats to allow people to rest in armour, if we added feats that allow people to equip/unequip armour more quickly. After all, a seasoned veteran would be able to get in and out of his armour much more readily than a novice. This way we are helping the issue in a much more realistic way.

Maybe some special armor with quick release buckles, designed by Cirion of course costing 3x the usual?
                  /Kim

Ariel - Cirion: "Glasses, when did you start needing glasses?"
Sergei - Arawen: "Nice to see you too Blue Eyes"
                  Anynduil - Elrylyn: "An ..."

*gathers all his awesome DM might to drag the topic back onto uhm... well topic*

I will make a post in the developing forums about possibly adding in feats to reduce the armour equip timer. Other than that, I think this derailment is about as useful as it's going to get
