Most frustrating deaths

I've died many times from bugs where my character freezes up and refuses to use healing potions. Drives up the wall.

Lets me set the mood and how many damn times this has happened in:
- Necropolis
- Ogres
- Gnolls
- Veritas

Ok, listen everyone, we are going to be careful, move slowly, fight a few at a time, and support each other with spells, buffs, etc. Everyone understand.

Everyone nods..................then we get there and the fighter type just charges right in the middle of everything, spawns everything, and we all die, either trying to support him or trying to run.

God, I can't tell you how many times this has happened. In fact, it was me a couple times a long time ago, when I had a shitty computer and couldn't even see some things in places like the Necropolis and before I knew it, my character was right in the middle of all the mages and blackguards getting hacked down in a few seconds

Amen brother. There's a difference between a good roleplayer and a good video game player, and many times, they don't overlap. Except in my case. I rule.

You know what that is? Thats a stacking bug.

If you have more then the max cap amount of a stack of an item in your inventory, the quickslot reads it wrong. It will actually target a stack you've allready used up.

If you have ever seen a stack of arrows that on the quick bar it says you have say.. 300 then you'll know right away that after the first hundred are used, that quickslot is now invalid.

How to get around this? Make multiple quickslots for all your potions and use them up evenly. Don't spam on one quickslot till it gets to 0, use one once, use another quickslot the next time, at an even pace.

Again, its not the engine, its the graphical user interfaces.

Man... You guys would love Bob and Ted.

Where to start... The Forgotten Realm Server has no auto save system and constantly crashes, DM motto is 'If you get screwed by the game somehow... we won't help because we're lazy' (I'm serious).

I died respawned lost xp and gold, server crashed, lost 5000xp and 2000gp from the crash then had to respawn again.

DM - "Wow you just went from lvl 5 to lvl 2?... Well sux2bu."


Transitioning into an area where some other character has spawned a bunch of creatures to powerful for them to they ran off and left them next to the area transition... You can guess the rest.


Menzoberranzan CEP2 Server on NWN1, I was a lvl 25 cleric fighting a lvl 32 Blackguard/Paladin who had been hired to kill me. Through careful use of spells I found that you could cast storm of vengeance without loosing your sanctuary and invisibility, after running aout of spells I used greater sanctuary and Improved invisibility and ran away.

I go into an old temple to rest then the Blackguard shows up and kills me in my sleep... WTF!? I ask a DM and the DM says he ported the Blackguard to me... WTF!? Why the hell would you go that? "He asked some of the people in the town I just ran through where I went" ...First off Svirfneblin Don't really 'talk' to people, second they'd want some form of payment if they did, third how many fking commoners have continuous True Seeing?

I get no reply from the DM... Ok then fine but he still broke the rules, Server rules say no player may enter into PVP combat without consent from the other player and he never asked me. "Oh this was a DM approved event"... So naturally I was polite and patient and replied "Get fucked".

DM council met ..."Brothers we've been found out!" "Yes brother the new guy has brought to light our hideous evil deeds" "We must take action to ensure that no one else is informed about our little discrepancies" "Make it happen brothers, I shall go 'reward' the Blackguard for his efforts"

Ah, it's so nice to hear a story where everyone wins. The Blackguard gets his kill, the DMs get rid of someone they don't want, and you get removed from a server that clearly wasn't worth being at. Idiots suck.

I think the drawing somehow makes the whole thing funnier for a reason I can't analyze right now, but who else but Hano could get eaten by shit monster in his own temple... I want the DM's to make a little black cloud with DOOM written on it that follows Hano around like a pet... just to warn the rest of us....
