'Sammael' is a villain in Robert Jordan's 'Wheel of Time' series. I thought the name sounded cool. At least, it did the way I said it in my head, which sounds sort of like 'Sam - eye - el' rather than like Samuel.

Haha i does! I never thought of that until you mentioned it. Not really a common word you would use for a person. Now i will never be able to think of your character without imagining some silly looking person trying to "land" :P

"Samael" is actually the name of the Angel of Death (at least according to Christian myth). Which is why I chose it for my scythe wielding buddy =P
