Drake has always been a great RP'er and player as far as I'm concerned :O

On the topic of people hogging loot (if that is indeed what this is what about) I've had people do that to me quite a few of times. It doesn't bother me though I can see how it might bother some. Why not just send a Tell?! "Hi, are you going to split that loot with us bro!"

We don't have any OOC rules regarding loot sharing that I know of? Maybe after this some are called for. An IC *glare* probably isn't very off-putting considering the guy who hogs the loot is usually the same one that min/maxed their toon to be able to cut you in half with one swing.

Most people seem to abide by one of either two loot share systems:
    a) give the loot to whoever it seems most suitable, archer gets the bow, fighter gets the helm etc etc

    b) roll d20, highest gets the loot

Personally I think that b) is fairer, as a cunning player can argue pretty much anything is useful to them. And they could still buy it back from you if you won the roll but they really wanted that item desperately.

    Just my 2c!

Wheaton's Law should be a prime ooc motivator for everyone, though it should come with the latter additional clause of 'but its OK to play a character who is one'.

I just think if reactions to ic situations will do just fine, if a character grabs all the lot and doesn't share then that character by word of mouth should probably be known as a selfish dude(or dudette) who isn't worth going monster hunting with. Likewise folks who're generous or selfless should probably also pick up rep with other characters for their actions.

OOC rules are boring, hells OOC comments are as annoying as heck and can really distract from the moment. Every time I see an argument start between players in game about if things in an OOC manner (law interpretations seems to be a strong cause here) I end up wanting to face punch the characters back to level 1.

Act IC. If your character is the type to grab and horde then do so, if your character is the generous type who just waves a hand and says 'help yourself' then that's just dandy, if your character is the penny pinching type who demands an even value split of everything then grand, get your miser on.

Keep ooc rules for the more important things and stick to IC things in both action and reaction and everything'll be fine.

My only character at the moment is RP only, so go ahead!

OOC... Good... Thought I was going to have to make a new main character.

I try to do keep tabs on who's had with drops, and who's next. But somebody always want to play the Ilmatari and mess it up. I always give other players a chance to take the loot, but I won't mind getting it.
