Hmm, I'm thinking if Multiplayer is the only real benefit I'll stick to the original. A simple BGTuTu download and you can use high resolutions, BG2 ruleset and play multiplayer anyway

The multiplayer in the original games is fucked to hell because they used an antequated technology that Microsoft doesn't support anymore called "DirectPlay".

Not to mention there were bugs in the DirectX methods they used to render the original game and more. There are enough enhancements to the game (New classes, new story, etc) to warrant the money I spent. Taking away the headaches of even TRYING to get BG1 to install was enough for me.
