Just wondering if anyone knows any good sci-fi shows, we don't get many here in Aus! I've seen mostly all the Star trek/Stargate series' and also Farscape. Out of these probably ST:Voyager and SG:Atlantis have been my favourites.

I'm watching Stargate Universe atm, which doesn't seem too bad. Seems a bit more realistic than the other ones, less humour and a little more grit. Not sure if I like that yet, but should know after a couple more episodes.

Battlestar Galactica. hands down the best Sci fi show out there. you should be able to download the whole series easy enough.

(not the one from the 70s, though i loved that too when i was a kid)

absolutely, the pilot is a little slow to start. after that it just keeps getting better. it is a very dark show. it isnt the happy go lucky star fleet, just the last of a race trying not to die, and doing ANYTHING to make that happen.

my wife absolutely hates anything scifi and once she started watching it (after i sat her down and made her watch a couple of episodes she couldnt get enough of it.
just make sure you watch the pilot first. other wise it will be a little tough to follow the rest of it.

I agree 100%. Watch the one and only season of Firefly, then watch the Movie Serenity, then cry that you will never get to see anymore

Yes, Battlestar Galactica. Character Depth is awesome in that series. (again not the one from the 70's) You will love it.. or you should. I agree on Firefly too, another great one. Dont know if the series called the Walking Dead is considered Sci Fi or not but it has some good character depth too, for those characters that are able to survive from one season to the next.

I havent seen firefly yet, but i have heard good things. I did see some of serenitiy, but i didnt know enough to enjoy it. The walking dead is aswome. Well worth the watch. As far as BSG goes, its the sort of show you need to watch from the start. It would be difficult to pick itup part way through. And dont read any spoiliers!

Babylon 5, at least most of it, I was pretty impressed with.

I actually really liked the pilot to BSG, never got around to watching any of the series though.
