I'm glad at least Hellfire got the point of the thread. The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Skyrim is consuming my life! And I never got into Oblivion, so that speaks to me of how much improved this game is.Player of:

I'm ~80 hours into Skyrim at this point. This is the most time I've spent in a single player game (w/out cheats) since Quake 1 or maybe even Doom 1 or 2... I dislike single player games. I've logged many many hours on Sundren (under different accounts/names) but I've only played 1-2 hours of the actual NWN 2 single player game and 0 hours in the expansions.
I'm enjoying the hell out of Skyrim but that being said... It feels empty. I'm not a huge RPer, and truly not that good at it. But, Skyrim just feels empty. Sure, I can sit down at the bar and keep clicking on the nearest NPC to hear his/her story over and over again. Sure, I can walk around town and do the same. Sure, I can follow the storyline but there is just this lack of immersion for me.
The game is beautiful, even on Medium. The world is awesome. I love the skill/level system. But I want more interaction dammit. WTH is the point of spending 2-3K on decorating one of your homes when you're the only one that will see it? I dunno, what I'm getting at is - do you think there is any hope for Bethesda releasing the source code so cool folks like Sal and company can get a hold of it and make us an awesome PW based on TES?
I don't want the current game to be made MP, it's not designed for that. Sure, some form of co-op might be cool and I'm sure we'll see mods for that (if they don't exist already) but I'm talking about a full on PWORLD.
Okay, I'm done. Back to the game, do I kill Paarthanux or not...?The difference between a rogue and a hero often comes down to who tells the tale. – Danilo Thann describing Elaith Craulnober, in Dream Spheres

Home sweet home.
I'm at level 36 now and done with the main quest line, finished the College and Thieves Guild's main lines. Just need to clean up side quests. I'm a little frustrated that as a melee/warrior type class that I became the archmage of the College. I was just doing some quests for them as a heavy armor wearing/novice spell casting/mace wielding person when they were all "You're now the Archmage!" ?!?!?!!?! I've only killed one or two innocent folks so I'm waiting for the Assassins Guild to contact me and tell me that I'm their new boss.
Still, game is win. Think I'll reroll and try a full on caster. Also, Unrelenting Voice = fav Shout. The difference between a rogue and a hero often comes down to who tells the tale. – Danilo Thann describing Elaith Craulnober, in Dream Spheres
