    I’m trying to find out what the raising costs are in gold and XP and so far iv got some guessed out at.

    I understand why raising by PC should be more costly as it stops everyone having to pack up and go home if someone gets killed.
    Is this at all right or did I miss something?

      I've raised people several times at Helm, of rather various levels. And raising at Helm is only a loss of 8%. I checked every time I raised someone. I asked for their initial xp, and then their adjusted xp after raising. Just as the post that was linked suggests.

      The only thing I'm unsure of is what the advantage of the temple at the Arbiter's post is. The last time I res'd someone there, I entirely forgot to check what the xp loss is. Might do well to know, considering how much more money it costs.

        Note that stores ask 50% more than the item's actual value. Temples used to sell at 100% instead of 150%, that is why the bloodstones are so much more expensive.

          I hope that the cost for resurection and raise dead isn't that drastic a difference; it makes sense that using 2 stones and 5 stones, as this is what is asked from the temples if you do it... however, the cost of these gems buying them at the temples has skyrocketed with the advent of the new crafting system. It's cheaper for characters to go to a temple and raise their buddies than use gems (I haven't seen a lot of Bloodstone drops to make up for the difference either, or in mining).

          In some ways I think it makes more sense for it to be cheaper in the field... the corpse is fresh off the sword, blood hasn't coagulated, necrosis hasn't started etc... it should take less energy to revive a newly dead person right there than dragging them 50 km (rough radius of Sundren), which should technically take at least a day.

          That being said, no one has asked me to do many raise/rezs in the field, so I can't say for sure what the loss is... it was 10% for Raise the one or two times that I did it.

              The change in price of the gems had nothing to do with the implementation of the new crafting system, it's entirely unrelated.

              Prices were changed so all stores buy and sell at the same price, with some exceptions. Temples suffered the most from this change because they sold low and bought relatively high.


              The reason temple resurrections are (and always were) cheaper, is because the ritual happens under ideal circumstances. Out in the field, things are highly improvised - and sometimes even dangerous.
