It's not strictly lag--maybe I described it poorly.

When I use the character sheet, just my PC seems lagged, or mouse movement stops entirely.

I am able still able to nudge my PC around with WASD, though.
(I normally never use WASD.)

WASD movement is possible regardless of your connection to the server, while mouse movement is not. So the problem you're having is most definitely lag, but because sending the WASD 'information' to the server causes even more lag, I advise against using it.

Oh, I didn't try to play with WASD--I simply moved around a bit to investigate what was happening.

I think it's worth noting that at least a couple other folks report this problem, too. It's somehow connected to using the character sheet.

I wouldn't really know where to look.. As far as I know, there isn't anything custom about the character sheet bar a few references to icons in haks. And from what it sounds like, it isn't anything specific you need to do to slow things down. But it's just generally slow when you open it. Or am I wrong?

After some more investigating, the problem is worst after leveling my PC. Considering the slow advancement at Sundren, I could see why few folks have run into it.

I also have the problem when doing something such as dragging a skill icon to my quickbar.

Weird. That's some pretty deeply rooted basic functionality. The only change I can see to levelling up, is that afterwards your PC gets saved to the Sundren Database. But since the problem also arises at times when character saving isn't involved at all, that can't be it.

I did compare my 10 level charactor verses my level 4. When around another Pc if I opened the charactor sheet my level 10 got a big delay.

Only difference I can think of between the two is my level 4 has none of the custom skills. my level 10 does, thoug no custom feats.

Whether you are not corect about the former, I do believe the latter applies anyway

But custom skills? Yashia doesn't have any.. I'll try it out.

I do wonder if any characters of level 15 or higher (and who aren't shapeshifters) are having this problem, as I've heard not anyone of them report it besides Annie.

Saulus suggested this problem was local to me. I don't have the problem with other PWs, though.

Myself neither; best we can do is just monitor whats going on when we have these troubles and pass it on!

There are only so many places lag can hide >:}
