For example, I'm one of those people. I simply find that writing that way gives your writing a more novelization feeling and flows better. People who use the *does an action* seem stilted to me, and it throws me out of the roleplay for some reason.

I might be one of the peasants who still uses asterixes, but damn, if you're spending more time describing insignificant details than pushing RP and dialogue forwards, you need to stop RPing and write bestselling tween romance novels.
