New to Sundren and new to RP .__.'

My greetings to all,

I actually stepped into Sundren awhile back when Zorkaplex introduced me to the wonderful world of Neverwinter and roleplaying... but I ended up running away and hiding under a rock.

I've found role playing intriguing but extremely intimidating with all of you talented people.


So here is my attempt to re-enter Sundren. If you have any pointers for a newcomer or if there is anything you see me doing wrong I would love the help!

Everyone's usually pretty chill, and if you're looking for tips then I recommend using correct spelling, punctuation, etc. People react positively to that no matter what, but it seems like you got that down.

The purpose of a DM is to give the players the illusion of a fighting chance, while working behind the scenes to ensure such an outcome is improbably at best.

Well, in my experience, if you see a DM actually in-game, talk nice, back up until you can no longer see them, and run for the hills. They might beat you there, but at least they need to respawn all the mobs they had planned.

All of those things plus don't be bashful in-game. As a relative newb myself I can tell you the players are a pretty friendly.
