It'd be a dispelfest, then to see whoever can get a death save off first. (Implosion ftw.)

I was thinking that the cleric just harm touches off the bat on the caster's crap AC and hopes to land it, then tries to nuke before the dispel/nuke from the sorc. Eh, would be fun to watch

It seems in all this anti-buffing talk we are forgetting the Warlock...
        Ow... OW... OUCH!!!

Back on topic: Fubarz UI attached (seems we have the same tastes)

Clerics have one advantage over high lvl mages... they can wear plate and can bash the hell out of the wizard/sorc after both sides have used up all their dispels and gotten rid of buffs and used up offensive spells. Plus harm is bugged and has no save and auto hits... If I ever end up in a PvP with an evil cleric I'm going all out, no holds barred, kill them as fast as possible with no mercy.

Btw if my PC sees a good cleric use harm and cause wounds spells, except in the most dire situations, that will raise eyebrows.

Give a well built and buffed EK a decent ASF free armor and they can give clerics a run for their money though. They can out melee clerics while casting nearly as well as pure mages.

If a caster is smart they cast spell mantel, making the harm attack useless.

Also to note, there is a domain that could have been overpowered in NWN2, but fortunatly (or unfortunatly, depending on how you look at it) persistent spell did not work with the Domain spell, otherwise you'd have clerics with a 24 hour lasting divine power, along with their 24 hour lasting divine favour. And... maybe I shouldn't have pointed that out...

*debates changing his post and keeping that info to his evil self*

Not sure about that...it'd depend who got the first spell off. Destruction or Implosion could instantly end a EK if they just fought with no buffs bared. Otherwise, who knows. Also, due to Divine Power and Favor, I REALLY, really doubt they can outmelee clerics...

That's mostly due to missing feats...it's a change from other casters though. :O

Warlocks are really, really, really, really killer support in battles, but I won't tell you how.

Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. I'm still waiting for DragonUI to get 1.04 compatibility. After that, I'll be one happy camper...

Wait, I think that particular one needs to be serverside... Darn. Hrmm, maybe I'll check out that Charlie UI.

All I will say on this is: Read your manual. Voracious Dispelling and Devour Magic... not to mention, with the correct feats on a Warlock, it's very useful and if used smartly as a support character, can bring the entire party to constant success. I am currently looking at Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack, Battle Caster, Combat Casting, Spell Penetration, Greater Spell Penetration but may vary this depending on what I figure out when I look at stat-management.
