What kind of RAM is it using, and how much?

Whats the temp of everything else? Laptops usually run a little hotter actually, so that temp is closer to being safe -_-

It's sound more and more like some sort of memory issue, and just nothing has yet to cause it aside from NWN2.

yeah i think so, but oblivion runs fine and that's pretty high spec. Then again, NWN2 doesn't support dual core, so maybe my comp has to work alot harder on nwn2 compared to oblivion. Gonna get a laptop cooler thingy, see if that helps.

          Ram is 1G DDR...can't remember...

I *may* have fixed it....I just installed new drivers for every single thing i could find on this machine. Reflashed bios and so far, all good.

Well let's how that somehow solved the problem.

Well then the most likely bandit does seem to be heat. If the cooler doesn't fix it, well uhh..get a new laptop? :P

No there are still things we could try. If you have more than one stick of RAM, removing and testing both seperatly, reinstalling windows, trying to run other things till the bluescreen happens.

Hope you get the cooler soon

yeah if the cooler is no good, then all i can do is new video card or new ram. Perhaps both! (and i can cheekily upgrade them hopefully).

How old is the laptop? If you can run Crysis and Oblivion I doubt its a graphics card problem, unless it's faulty. To my knowledge, both of those games tax a card more than NWN2. Parity errors (if you're still getting that) are "usually" due to faulty, mis-matched, or mis-configured RAM - but if that were the case, you'd probably have errors elsewhere. If you could list the laptops specs it might help, the more info the better
Also, does the error happen when you do a particular thing? Or maybe after a certain time period?
Are you able to get a heat reading on your RAM?

Edit: heh, just saw the last post was a week ago - is this even a problem anymore?

Well, she's finally kicked it. I'll probably be sending it back to Dell soon for some fixing action. I suppose i'll be away for a little while *waves tentatively*
