      Hello there Sundreners-

Have you all noticed any improvement with transition crashes since the 1.05 changes?

Rob, to be honest, I think it's a little too soon to say.

Unfortunately I am already recieving PMs reporting transition crashes, so I can confirm at least this - the problem isn't eliminated.

I saw no improvement personally since they were sparatic before and continue to be. Has the % chance gone up or down? I don't know, I just know it still happens.

I don't keep any kind of strict record....but my gut feeling is that for me at least the incidence has gone down.

In fact...I'm struggling to recall a crash on transition since 1.05 final went in. I generally used to get maybe one per two hour play session, so I was never that plagued by them..certainly not as much as any others...but it does seem better post 1.05 from where I'm sitting.

The server seems far more crashy now though.

              On and off days

For me anyways, there are some days when I cant play because it will crash on transition everytime...like 5 in a row usually before I give up, but then there are days where I will play for maby 4-5 hrs. with maby 10 transitions and no crashes...

I immediately thought, how can they not duplicate the error? I crash on transition almost everytime I play. Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

Duplicating an error is not the same as just having the crash happen at random times. I believe what he means is that they don't have a controlled way of making it happen where they can say "THIS makes it crash" and be able to repeat it.

When it comes to troubleshooting and fixing stuff a lot of times you want to know what causes the crash so that for instance you could MAKE it crash when you transitioned, instead of it just randomly happening, once you get to this point you have a better idea of where to look to fix the problem.

I just became a member and logged on last night for the first time and was booted maybe five times in a 45 minutes span. I was only in town for that time and it seemed almost every other transition I was booted? I think there was maybe ten people on the server at the time. I have a decent graphics card and 1 gig of RAM, but my processor is a 1.6 ghz.

I don't have any problem with the OC game.
