Transition Crashes

The other MP issues, the biggest of which is client crashes during transition, are difficult to lock down. We have fixed a few, but getting to the core issue is difficult.
Part of the problem is that we cannot duplicate the transition crashes internally. That could be for a variety of reasons.
So, we continue to work with PW administrators. We connect to their worlds and try to experience the crashes. So far, I do not think we have ran into any. Talk about Murphy's Law.
So, yes. We are working on those issues.

I immediately thought, how can they not duplicate the error? I crash on transition almost everytime I play. Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

I have had days were I crash at almost every t4ransition, but I crash most of the time when going through Sundren city.

Not only have I myself crashed on transitions, but I have had party members do it too, you can tell because their icon avatar shows up, yet they don't ever zone at all, just hang somewhere in the transition loading phase. It's really strange, but you can notice it pretty easily.

I rarely do it, but it sometimes happen. Once I crashed twice in a row exiting the temple of Oghma though...

I crashed on many area transitions. However, since I upgraded to 1.05 beta, I crashed less often (but I still do it)....

I would estimate I crash once every 45 minutes of regular gameplay (Maybe once out of every 5 or 6 transitions). It has, IMO, nothing to do with the amount of people on, or in a section which has been told to me. I crash consistantly, even when there are 4 people on the server. It happens most in Sundren City, and Mirakus Post.

I crash, though the only place I do so seems to be Sundren City.

I also crash a lot in Sundren City, both in the initial transition and in shop transitions. It doesn't seem to be related to how many other PC's are in the city, as I crash as often in an empty server as in a busy one.

I've crashed before, but it happens rarely for me. I think I've crashed transitioning into Sundren City once, but I've never had any problems there again.

I crash on transition all the time. However, I crash most often going to a large exterior area, particularly when the server population is high, regardless of whether there is anyone in the area. The load bar usually reaches fullness without finishing Phase 2, and the game hangs until it crashes.

It's so noticeable that I can often tell immediately when it's crashing. I usually just fire up the task manager and shut down the process to skip the waitiing...

The areas that do this most often are Sharahan Hills, Viridale Forest/Border, Sundren City (which also loads very slow for me), Port Avanthyr, and Gate of the Sunderer. However, this might also just be due to the frequency with which I visit those areas.

It seems like this problem has been become less common. I used to crash often but very rarely as of late, whoever made the changes... good job.

I too often crash in Sundren City and occasionally in transition between other outdoor areas. I had thought that this due to my poor internet connection. Over the winter the squirrels have chewed my cable connection and the wires are exposed. I am told that they will not be replaced untill spring, it is April I know but for us spring is late June or early July. I did not know that others were also experiencing this difficulty. Untill I read this thread.

Is it possible that this difficulty is a function of the size of the files that are needed to download in order to make the transition. Most of the areas in Sundren City are quite large and rather rich in detail. Additionally there are many NPC that move about. I almost never crash in the caves or when entering one of the shops although this does happen.

I crash on transitions, everyday, at least once.

Another annoying little bug is the one where I log into the server and have to alt-tab to gain control of my keyboard.

Someone has actually never crashed on a transition before? I wonder how much they play :P I dont crash as much now that I have finally got a new computer..before it was always running at 100% capacity. But its usually still a couple times over a couple hour period.
