  • What would you like to see the most?

It's been awhile since we've polled, and while people may not know everything coming in the new update, I am still curious to see what people would like to see the most.

Obviously with a volunteer group we must have tighter priorities otherwise nothing would ever get done. If you could see just one thing added, in terms of new content, what would it be?

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Interactive stuff! Locks, tricks, traps, skill based dungeon progression (such that the average character cant take a 1 point dip to proceed).

Most people take 1 point in lockpicking to get through the spittlefist caves. I feel there should be more circumstancial checks to make your way so DM's arnt always required for flavour. The ones with the climbing/swimming/balance checks are appreciated but I feel there should be more!

Agreed, I would also like to see some more puzzle based things, perhaps not requiring a specific class, like the Necropolis one but still something to fiddle with is always fun.
      Ghal Narish, Battle-Mage
      Faucon De'Ombre
      , Triadic Knight

      Ulriel Gabrieth, Devout of Lathander
      Noril De'nor, Archer ...
Liem Ashcroft, Miner, Smith, and Weaponsmaster

        Added puzzles to poll options.

Skills based challenges then? I agree these are lacking.

I would also suggest more quests.

More interactive area design that uses class archetypal skills, like Argyle has the Hells Maw Tavern store and the conversation with the Mages of the Astral Reach via Spellcraft. Maybe a Knowledge: Religion in an undead dungeon might reveal an extra optional boss at a statue/altar, or Survival might reveal a mini-boss patrol out in the woods. More secret(spot)/jammed(strength)/arcane marked or passworded(int/decipher script) doors to optional areas and treasures. The new quest system. Repeatable quests that replace or compliment flag runs for all factions. Better drops for all bosses 100% of the time, with a chance for stellar drops.

While we are at it, I'd just like to say that I wish that it were possible to have an entire area layout that loads the moment you enter the area. A dungeon/map/hideout that is completely flesh out from the first step in that has scripted patrol routes and mild AI reaction that could potentially run to or call for help from the other patrols in other sections/rooms. Or even simply a chance for another spawn to make a listen check and arrive 1d4 rounds later to join the fray. That's one of the really big things I miss from pen and paper.
              Active
Reinamar Stormseeker - The bladestorm that must turn back the wind. Arkerym of The People, practitioner of the forgotten art, pariah.

Tyler Penleigh - Obligatory author insert, Red Blade Defender, sarcastic jerk, caring brother, loving fiancé, war criminal.

              Retired/Dead
Eirimil Gaelazair (Dead)- Bitter. Caustic. Abrasive. Egocentric. Probably right. Found dead in the burned-out Viridale forest a few weeks after the survivors were able to sweep the area after the Bloodmaim offensive. Aside from his usual attire, an intricate music box was the only thing in his possession.

I fully back having more skill based stuff in dungeons and the world in general - Stuff like that is why I love DnD, not the tedious click'n'wait combat of NWN2.

But, for the sake of being different, I'm going to say Classes/Feats.

I would really love to see one or more classes (preferably mostly mundane ones) that are specific to each faction, representing a part of the general direction of that faction and showing what specialist training that each faction has to offer those who join up.

A smattering of new feats would also be nice, again aimed at the non-magical classes.

Oh, and to encourage non-evil haflings I suggest we impliment the Aglarondan Griffonrider.

                And the Bear Warrior.

I like this alot. Also, maybe have a few of the current faction classes tweaked.

Off the top of my head:

                      Thayans: Red Wizard/Thayan Knight
                      Eboncoin: Shadow Thief
                      Wardens: MoMF/Nature's Warrior
Wardens Sub-Faction Furies: Ice Fury, Stormlord
                      Triumvirate: Triadic Knight
Black Hand: Dreadmaster of Bane, Horned Harbinger

I think we know which ones needs a bit of a boost. But I underlined them anyways.

That leaves (off the top of my head)

Sundren (Legion, Red Blades, Mundus) - Perhaps bring in the Neverwinter Nine and call them something else? Praetorians?
Veritas - Harper Agent, with a few added Veritas bonuses so the class isn't completely useless.
                      Corps de Fail - trololol
Exigo/Blackwater - There are enough fighter types, maybe if they got a more economical/crafty type class? Bonuses to the craft feats, reductions in fatigue, etc etc.

What I would love to see is deep storyline events run on a schedule. I'm not talking storyline events for a character either. Something done in such a way the DM can pick up and go with it regaurdless of which group of Chars attend.

I voted more DM interaction from Kasso.

But you should probably remove that vote, and place it in the puzzles sections. While puzzles are usually pretty stale after everyone knows about them, they provide a source of enjoyment for new players.
