New Server In, Pictures!
Hey guys,
So, want to see what I had to lug with another person just to actually not drop and smash this thing?
Yikes! She's a monster. Yes that's a rack mount server. Don't have a rack yet, but that's fine. I do have a shelf! I also might have found a surplus place I can pick up a rack cheap.
And her dress slips off!
That's some serious amount of hardrives, 6 to be exact. Two power supplies. What's that? IBM Xeon, yes please!
Lots of instructions attached... instructions? Who needs instructions. Remember I am certified.
I'll hopefully have this baby up and running by next week, but I am going to be away for most of next week for a large tradeshow in Toronto called Showcase Ontario where I have volunteered as a Network Technician for the government of Ontario.
And don't forget the donation meter still has some ways to go! If we don't get closer I might just have to send this little demon-machine back.
For those wondering about the box, it is a Dual Proc Xeon 2.8GHZ Featuring 2.5GB of DDR2 ECC Memory and 6 SCUZZY Barracuda drives running at 10,000RPM.
