To be honest, the issue is not wether we should or could, but wether we will.
Flame Blade is a Black Island/Obsidian Script and is their mistake.
Burning Sword is a [DEV]Sean script and is my own doing.
This is the quote from our bug system and Saulus's official word on such things:
This bugtracker is intended for Sundren bugs only.

If this is a problem with NWN2 such as crashing, lag, feat bugs, spell bugs, animation problems, graphical glitches, item type or DnD rules problems etc, please go to the Official NWN2 forums and let them know about it.

ONLY INGAME BUGS ARE TO BE POSTED HERE.
Unless I wish to go against Saulus, I cannot fix it. That's why I said:
So, I'm going to leave it be for the moment.

I was in the goblin caves last night and noticed two things:

1- I can't get my torch to light, is it me doing something wrong or do they just not work yet?
2- The goblins can shoot and see through walls, which was very tiresome, until I discovered that I could shoot through the walls too. Which is obviously a bug.

1 - There are a few torches that, for some reason, will not light on equip. However, there are torches that will. Finding the right one is tricky, but possible.

2 - This is a well known bug and has been properly reported in the Bugs section of the forum, which I ask you post future bug reports in, please.

I notified one of the devs (can't remember which one) of the torch problem a while back, so hopefully that's being taken care of. I can almost guarantee that the shooting through walls bug is an Obsidian bug, which the devs can't fix. It happens in quite a few other places, so mapping doesn't seem to be the problem, and I can't imagine scripts helping at all.

Isnt there some type of script or invisible barrier you can put between the terrain mapping to break line of sight? Like some type of imaginary fog of war you can put between the walls like polyfiller!

If only it were that simple.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

                    1. Step One... Drop the Torch.
                    2. Step Two... Pick it Back Up.
                    3. Step Three... Equip Torch.
                    4. Step Four... ????
                    5. Step Five ... Profit!

(For some reason the torch leaving and re-entering your inventory allows it to light up when equiped, at least it always does for me.)
