  • Exploiting and You

Sundren has many new features and our world is constantly evolving. One side of evolution you won't see is our ability to administrate the many players we get coming and going.

If you cheat, 'bend the rules', exploit things, etc... we will know about it. There's absolutely no hiding it anymore... so don't risk it. Trust me when I say that you'll light up like a christmas tree from our perspective if you exhibit any of this kind of behaviour. Is it worth losing the XP and the respect from our great team of DMs? I certainly wouldn't think so.

So if you are doing it, now is the time to stop. Please don't be at all surprised or angry if you get caught -- you had it coming.

And for all of you who don't cheat... keep having fun and know that we invest a lot of time and effort into making sure we have an even, fair playing ground for you to play in!
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

lol, noob. You spelled "exploiting" wrong in the title. Nice attempt.

But to add to the actual constructive content of Saulus' post, let it be known that, apparently, the ***EDITED BECAUSE HE JUST REVEALED INFORMATION HE KNOWS BETTER THEN TO REVEAL*****
    Simple risk vs. reward logic.

      Yeah, I knew better.

But you spelled "revealed" wrong, noob.

(Sorry about not actually knowing better. It's the lack of animal fats in the brain, or something).

I read it before you edited it... is something bad going to happen to me?

Heh? -- Anyway, unfortunately, I have already lost some respect to a player (no names mentioned) and though you don't know it, I really do respect everyone till they do something wrong. So, as Saulus said, it may not even be the XP you worry about, but more-so the teams respect and how they may approach you after this?

(If I spelt something wrong Kangleton, you can be quiet)

:S I personally do not know how this thread can be taken as a joke. The administrator is giving out an important message

And that, was the "funny". The original post is absolutely serious, and I support that. And that is also the last I'll say to it.

It would be nicer to know that this was caused by the fact that people accept how the quests are meant instead of because they scared to death by the idea that they could get banned

                      It would, wouldn't it?

Alas, Emperor Palpatine said it best with:
"Rule through fear instead of through idealistic government agencies".

Too bad they had to send in an assassin garbed in all black and bionic upgrades to take him out.

It'd also be nice to know that people wouldn't break real world laws if they weren't scared of being thrown in jail for it. But if you don't enforce rules and laws, they don't have any meaning. That being said, let's hope this trend continues.

Don't forget the value of service provided. People will follow the laws of a body that serves them, and ignore or circumvent laws brought forth by a body that provides nothing.

                            No taxation without representation!

Sundren of course is purely a gift and a blessing by the very existence of it. The DMs are more like gods than politicians, much like the Greek gods, with Saulus as Zues or Chronos and Sean as Hephesteus perhaps. Or we could go Nordic with the metaphor if you prefer.
