As I've mentioned recently, the Sundren team has many exciting things in store for our players. After extensive development, I am very happy to introduce another exciting feature: Character Profiles.
I've been extremely impressed by all of the wonderful biographies on the wiki. However, by far, the largest feedback we've received has been the desire to have public and private information listed. We can understand that; as DMs, it's very important we know everything about your character; however, you know you may not want some of that information being publicly available.
I've also thought about how exciting it would be if you could check out your characters, and other players' characters, from the web.
To that end, I have developed a player portal which contains the character profile feature. Using this functionality, you will be able to search through the profiles of other characters, and create your own. Statistics will be automatically updated. Some fields will only be viewable if the character is yours, while others are available for all to see.
So let's take a look:
To my knowledge, this feature is not available on any other persistent world. This is just another way Sundren is differentiating itself from others, giving you the best possible playing experience.
This feature will replace the wiki biographies. Please move your biographies from there to the character profile page.
Keep in mind that this feature is currently in beta. There are some major usability improvements I would like to make, and a handful of fields and new features to be added. In the meantime, though, I'd appreciate your feedback and suggestions on how we can improve it. Enjoy!

So let's take a look:
- Navigate to http://www.sundren.org/index.php?page=player_options.
- Choose the "Characters" link on the left side
- When you first come to page, you will only see a "All Characters" pull down. Try using that to lookup the character "Norian Rift," one of my playable characters. After hitting the "View" button, you will see his name, gender, race, and a few other things listed, in addition to his description and public biography.
- Next, try looking up your character.
- As you will notice, your character's biographies will be blank. You can modify them by authenticating your character; this ensures that you really do own the rights to modify the character. Click on the "Register My Character" link.
- Register My Character will take you to a page where you pick your character, and fill out your current XP and gold. Once you have filled out these fields, hit "Register" and return to the character page.
- Now that you have registered a character, you will see a "My Characters" pull down. Select your newly registered character, and then hit "View". You will notice that you see significantly more information, and have the rights to update your biographies.
