Crafting now possible on Sundren -- Yes it's true!

As a small server-side update tonight the final pieces of crafting are now available. Benches are spread throughout Sundren, as are components, molds, and recipies. You'll find them in stores, and in loot drops.

If you'd like to contribute and help make more new recipies for Sundren then feel free to post in this thread and request to be a contributor. This will give you access to our contributor forum which will teach you the basics to submitting content to go into the Sundren mod, as well as a few ground rules.

Yup, it does. Recipe books are in, though not in stores yet so far as I know.

Correct, you'll find recipies as loot drops, but they are rare. Recipie books will also become DM reward items, and some NPC mercants might ocassionally carry one.

Couple of questions,
Firstly, Great that crafting is now avaliable looking forward to building a crafting character, will there be essences and/or the Shaper's alembic avaliable? (i had a character who found a whole stash of essences and purchased them, in the hope that crafting was coming soon, only to have them removed from him later)
Second, do the standard recipes work? or is everything being redone?

All recipes have been redone and there aren't many that still work, if not none.

Question about the recipes. If you find a book with recipes in it. Shouldn't those recipes work? If not then why have the books? Or have you changed the recipes in the books?

Those recipes should work, if the scripts are loaded at least. The available recipe books only show the recipes that are still in or newly implemented.

Entertaining items might be nice to have on a merchant, but I doubt many people will put time and effort into making items that have little more to offer than a nice and funny description. But some help with interesting and useful ones is most welcome.

I haven't seen nearly any of the gems mentioned in the few crafting books I've found. Are they supposed to be near-impossible to get, or are the loot tables a bit lacking?
