    Sundren Client Pack 0.1.8

    As of 3:30 AM GMT-5 (EST) Sundren will be running a new version of the client pack. The structure of the pack has changed significantly so everyone will be required to download the full pack.

    The server has had a number of adjustments and changes (I can't remember all of them), so here is a basic overview.

    - Four Laterns Inn added to Gate of the Sunderer
    - Rodwick the Sage scroll/robe merchant added to Gate of the Sunderer
    - Starting GP for players has increased by 200GP
    - Most of, if not all issues mentioned in Grigori's master bug list
    - More commoners added to gate of the Sunderer (should be a bit more lively)
    - Various dialog, store and overall NPC improvements.
    - Resting in dungeons and anywhere in a tavern should now work

    Please note this update will be required to play on the server as of today. Failure to update will result in either the inability to join the server, or crashing to desktop.

      I'm having a hell of a lot of trouble just trying to download this update.
      This is kind of why I was suggesting audolo in the first place.

      This is my fourth attempt to download the whole 49mb again and it keeps quitting on me, not to mention the fact, that it's slow downloading.
      What took me 10 mins for the 1.7 has been taking me over 2 hours for the 1.8, and it's not even finishing. Which means starting all over again and hoping it doesn't quit.
      I hope this isn't going to be happening every time? Maybe it's just a bad day for my internet connection, but it's keeping me from playing today.

      Bugger.

        Oh wow, those are pretty bad download times. It must be a bad day for your internet. I was able to download them in no time at all, but I'm lagging a lot in game; thats probably just my comp acting up.

          Perhaps using bittorrent since it eliminates the having to restart the download if it fails. Its a pretty good system for distributing files and spread the bandwidth usage around a bit.

            But doesn't Bittorrent require a seperate download and extra steps to download? We want to keep the problem as simple as possible...

              Well if you use u torrent its just a single exe and you just direct people to download the bitorrent file and you can just select open with utorrent and away you go. Just a suggestion.

                There is nothing wrong with our mirror. Thieves-Guild will be providing an alternative mirror for our downloads just in case someone has problems with our main one.

                There is no need to use torrents, downloads should be fast and painless.

                  Well I finally got it after 12 hours of trying.
                  Just had a bad internet day I reckon.
                  Shame though I missed all the fun they had. Oh well.

                    Took me less than 10 minutes to download.

                    Just listened to some free music from http://www.pandora.com/ while I waited

                      Should be and are are entirely entirely different subject, the server is rarely the problem when you're dealing with information transfer. If you're having bad troubles, and it's not just an unusual day, I suggest getting a program that'll allow you to restart downloads without beginning again at the very start. Else, eh, just hope tomorrow's a better day, I guess.
