  • Sundren Update - Feb 28, 2010

    - Detect undead now follows P&P rules instead of having a radar on the map. Essentially each round your focus on an cone area 60ft long (So basically facing the direction of the undead) and gain information for each round you focus on an area. To check a new area, simply move and it'll restart the focus. You can be stunned just as normal P&P rules which will end the spell. See http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/detectUndead.htm for more details.

    - Bugfix to door autoclose script. If you close a door and reopen it, the timer will now reset from the last open. This will stop doors being finnicky when people accidentally close them early.

    - Druid transition updated to include more gods for clerics/favored souls and anyone flagged for Wardens of the Vale (Or subfaction) can now enter.

    - NPCs on seasword should be ignored by rats now and are flagged unkillable.

    - Rebuke undead does not dominate players. There is a bug in domination that can cause a player's file to save wrong. Players will recieve a message instead that they have been dominated and will be unflagged hostile. RP it out if you must.

    - Sunbeam from Master of Radiance and Sunburst now instantly kill vampires or creatures flagged by sun weakness if they fail their reflex rolls as per P&P. This includes NPCs and PCs.

    - Various other fixes to rebuke undead. Summoned undead should no longer be rebukable to boost army numbers and already rebuked undead by the caster should be ignored. Players should now have a maximum hitdice of undead they can command.

-Henchmen should now despawn on death ALA Horned Harbinger and Master of Shrouds.

-Rebuked undead should now be free on death of their commander.

-Mass Heal should affect undead with other race but undead hitdice (Argyle Keep)

-Undeath to Death should now affect undead with other race but undead hitdice.

-Banish should now affect creatures with other race but outsider hitdice

-Pale Masters of level 6 or more (Undead graft) will now show up with a faint undeath aura for detection unless they are also undead.

-Markus in the citidel should talk to players again

-New method of tracking players in area coded. This is a first step to new systems planned to go in which will include random encounters in areas like viridale, and new spawning systems in general. Testing will ensue to make sure it's functioning.

-Door that let people bypass the necropolis puzzle now has a very high lockpick DC.

-Fixed issue with portal in Wyntir Manor East. Should zone players to portal room now when walked into.

-Corpses left in invalid locations (Areas no longer in module) or in civil areas (Towns and such) will now be placed in Sarcophaguses behind the temple of Kelemvor. If corpses are left in civil areas, the area cleanup scripts will now move them to these Sarcophaguses. Players may place corpses in and take corpses from these containers if they wish.

Looks like some good shit, especially the palemaster registering as an agent of undeath; creepy!

Great stuff. Thank you for your effort on the server.

The corpse clean-up script is a good thing, but part of me is going to miss the enormous piles of PC corpses in the sewers near the Lizardmen. It's really atmospheric entering and having to wade over the remains of those who fell before you... *sighs*

Sewers isn't a civil area. ONLY civil areas get cleaned up. Basically places where guards and people walk around constantly. THey wouldn't leave dead bodies on the streets

Haha, aren't the sewers amazing? My character felt like a badass when he solo'd that place - And then died at the chieftain part.

                    Hotfix:

-Spine Refuge area had a bad exit script set so people would take damage from cold even after leaving the area. Keep an eye out for areas misbehaving like this. Usually easy fixes that are dev oversights.
-Detect Undead would say no undead detected on top of detected undead for first round. Corrected.

Are corpses still buggy for DMs? I picked one up the other day and when I dropped it again it turned into an un-rezzable remains bag. Happened twice, actually.

                          Looks fantastic as always.
