New Feats

Theres a few new feats in the game, if you all haven't noticed yet. I'm not gonna release much details wise, as I want them to be surprises for you.

I will tell you that 1/2 the new feats are racial feats.

My personal favorite, though, I will reveal to you all:

Bestial Rage
You have a berzerker soul, the result of feral ancestry or perhaps the bitterness and fury that comes from being hated by both halves of your heritage.
Prerequisites: Half Orc
Benefit: In time of great stress, you can give into the rage burning within, gaining great strength from such a release. You may use the barbarian's Rage class ability once per day, with all of its consumerate advantages and drawbacks. This use of Bestial Rage stacks with any other uses granted to you by class levels or other uses granted to you by class levels or other sources. For all intents and purposes this feat counts as access to the barbarian's Rage class feature with the exception of fulfilling prerequsities for choosing feats or PRCs.

i am not arguing with your idea of surprising the good folk. but how about a hint or two. like are any of the new feats you put in accessable only after you pass the level cap? (assume a base race with no frills (including bonus feats) to be used for this hypothetical example.)

if so then how about just spilling the beans about those since finding them would be far far far too troublesome

Sparkeh:The racial feats, will show up for your selection, when you level up and are allowed to take feats. at this time it is not possible to code Background feats and hence none of these feats will show up on character creation, so we do the best we can.

Bashir: Half the feats are racial feats most of those just require being the race.
The rest of the feats just require a certain amount of a skill, saving throw, or a select feat to access.

None of the new feats are directly based on levels, although some are not possible to take at level one because of prerequisites. I believe there is only 1 class specific feat, and that was for warlocks who got hosed in the last custom content pack.

My advice is play your pcs.. and see what becomes available.

As for spilling the beans.. not gonna happen. Its my way of keeping people who plan their pcs out to level 30 ( or in sundrens case,15) on their toes.


In the end.. look at it like christmas day.. do you really want to know what your presents are ahead of time? Whats the fun in that?

Ah gotcha! By racial feats I thought you meant the free feats that races start the game with not feats that can only be selected by certain races. Cheers.

I like it... Though it was already difficult to pick from all the different feats, and now it will be even harder! Yashia's diminuitive brain is going to hurt once she hits level 9

Seriously though, nice work; I'm looking forward to seeing these new feats in action. And not telling people what they are is also nifty I reckon... let it be a surprise!

Yeah, I noticed this a little while ago while testing characters out in a development module. I then realized all of my problems with my current character could have been solved within the first level or so if I had taken two of the new feats.

Any who... Cool beans to adding new feats to the server lol, you never cease to amaze me with your work sharrington. Now I know what I'll be doing when I get home. I wish I could say awesome job but someone is holding out on us, so I don't actually know what he did yet. Ahh.. what the hell, awesome job anyways, I'm sure they're great.

*cough* i couldnt help noticing that one of the images for a feat (not saying which) was a cut and paste copy of the image for a ritualist spell in GuildWars. *cough*

I'm not ashamed to say that when my help making icons drifted away, I robbed from runescape, guild wars and WOW. They have some nice icons. I also use google: Images to find images that I convert as well.
