Hey, I wanted to ask if my druid can still cast spells in a coral shirt (or any other armour of nonmetalic material), given that the shirt has base ac 5 and max dex 3, and is therefore breastplate armour.

A note to anyone searching this topic down the line with the same question in mind:
Upon equipping the armour, you're hit with 100% spell failure, which goes away once you rest.
