As far as I am aware, yes all crafted mithral things have gem sockets. I'll admit I'm not the best with the crafting system!

cool, that makes sense for why have expensive armor if there is not any benefits. Same hold try to weapons?

Now only if there was a mithral leather...

Ash: Dusty old miner of still looking for the "mother load" on Exigo's stag

Shaving kittens: not an official sport, but fun just the same

Shadowsilk has leather-equivalent armours.. It is just rather hard to come by.

And mithral armour actually doesn't have sockets, only the weapons do. For Alchemical Gold it's reversed.

will we be getting more socket-able trinkets to create? or perhaps even plans for Xweapon with a socket...

really at this point i feel like all the things i can make with a socket-ed silver ring fall much lower in power than simple crafting a wondrous ring.

or can we use the socket-ed rings to make say a RoP+2 with a socket. Would yield something like +2 deflection and +10 hp for a vitality gem setting.

            ooof little off topic. sury.

You can put 2 vitality jewels in a socketed silver ring, which makes for +20 hp. The bonus HPs stack with everything (unlike the rings of protection, which can simply get overwritten by low level deflection AC buffs). That's certainly not too shabby. A recipe to add +2 universal saves also exists, but the required gem is rather rare.

The golden version has 3 sockets. The rings are fairly decent.

I had originally intended to add more socketed items eventually, but never got around to doing it. I guess that's up to the remaining item makers now, though.

I know this is most likely a naughty question but here is goes...

Does a socket-ed longsword exist? Err the plans for? Enchanting items can be expensive. I would had to have something made (using up all the ingredients I have been collecting) only to find better base item.

                    I'm not sure Nez

I'm going to lock this thread actually. Not because you're asking bad things! but because we're revamping crafting from the ground up. We won't be putting any resources into the current crafting, so we just don't have experts to tell you yes / no on questions or even correct issues.

The system is what it is for now, but will be different once we're done. Thanks
