I'm getting more and more posts about other people's characters on the boards.
Spoilers about other people's actions won't be tolerated unless are posted IC'ly. Anyone using board information to metagame will get a swift kick in the face by Pablo my pet ninja, and I know some people are doing it.
Also, Sundren is Sundren. I don't care what happens in Waterdeep, Neverwinter, Thay, or any other realm. We invented Sundren, it's not a place you can find in your books, and it's not a place you can just quote history of Faerun on. The people have their own minds, and are pretty cut off from the rest of the world except the trade vessels and few people who come through the gate. The people are basically going to do things their own way. If your PC enters Sundren from the outside world, obviously they will do things their way.
Basically what I'm saying is, try to expand your minds for RP. Sundren is a world invented to be swayed by actions inside of it on purpose. We allow players into roles that are likely beyond other PWs on purpose. Instead of complaining to DMs characters are a certain way, did you try complaining to officials? Writing letters? Lobbying? Getting support from guards? Rallying people to your causes?
Not to mention, toooooooo many people assume NPCs know what they know. If someone is summoning a demon in Sharahan hills and you run miles to Port Avanthyr and tell a guard "They summoned a shadow in Sharahan hills" he's going to look at you with the "What the hell do you want me to do about it?" face. Sharahan hills is Goblin territory, it's dangerous, it's lawless, and people are going to take advantage of that. Viridale is quite the same. And many more zones will be that way too. Not to mention, your character could also be lying. "You got evidence this guy is demonic? No?"
Someone asked me yesterday, "If a guy kills me in the caves of the Goblins and I run and tell a guard he's a murderer, can he be arrested?" and I said "Well, the fact you're running to tell a guard makes your case against him pretty weak since there's no body."
I don't want to lay out people's RP for them. Use some ingenuity, try to think outside the box, stop focusing on getting level 20 because in the end it won't matter when a level 5 is ruler of the kingdom because he went all political spending his time playing the field while you were just levelling. If you handle all your problems with PVP, I promise you, it won't do you any good and may turn out worse for you in the end.
