    Shit luck...

    So we still don't have the server upgraded with more memory yet, first the wrong part was ordered, then I wait a month only to get memory that fits but turns out to be bad...

    Lets see how many more fuckups we get before I can get it installed.
    The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

          The problem is I may have to order actual IBM memory because sometimes other vendors are picky, the IBM memory is a lot more expensive (stuff I ordered was costly enough).

            Its probably a good idea; I always keep to my existing vendor and never mix memory units even if they arnt paired DIMMS, call me paranoid if you will!

              Its nothing to do with mixing vendors, in some servers any memory other than the IBM memory can cause issue.
