  • Nature's Warrior specifics

I was recently flipping throught the wiki and stumbled apon the PrC Nature's Warrior, and I think it'd be as close to perfect for one of my characters. But I have one question this:

"Wilding: Nature's warrior class levels stack with druid class levels (as well as other prestige classes that allow these abilities to stack to determine wild shape abilities."

Ok I'm sure that this means my Uses per Day increase as if I took Druid levels, awesome. But does this allow me to gain access to additional forms? Specificly the Dire Animal Shapes. Druids don't even gain a specific feat for Dire Shapes they just 'magicly' overwrite your original forms. So would Wilding allow me to gain access to Dire Shapes as well as add to Uses per day?

A (12)Druid gains access to Dire Shapes. But...
If I have (7)Druid/(5)Nature's Warrior (with Wilding) would I have Dire Shapes?

That should work, yes. It works that way with MoMF too.

Awesome, I've wanted to make a character that's kinda the opposite of MoMF in that instead of becoming great at shapeshifting into anything they become more and more adept at one form. To the point where they feel more comfortable in their perticular animal form than in their humanoid form. So while Nature's Warrior isn't perfect, it's the best fit I think I'll find. Thanks!

The Dire forms do not overwrite the natural forms here. You can select them separately. Spell progression of a NW is half that of a druid. But you do gain additional dire wild shapes the same as you would if you were a druid. This is not the case for the additional wild shape feats such as tiny, domestic, or plant. They are dependend on the druid level.

Keep in mind NW needs a DM-granted feat (Guardian of the Grove - I think this is not mentioned in the wiki), and those prestige classes aren't gained easily. Best to begin gearing your RP towards getting DM attention and impressing in subtle ways

There was a discussion on this recently.

*edit* It does not say the feat is required in the level-up screen either, but I know that I had to get it for Annie.... can a Dev shed light on this? Kael?

Eleanor "Bloody Elle" Lark - Why is the rum always gone?

Yes, it's required. Some of the class descriptions just left a lot to be desired.. which should be alleviated in a coming patch.

Also sorry for the misunderstanding, yes what V says is true. You don't get the new feats to shift into different kinds of forms, but there are forms that come available and/or overwrite forms at later levels. Apparently, Dire is separate there and doesn't overwrite standard forms like in the OC. I stand corrected
