    I'm not trying to be an arse when I say this, but 98% (Literally) of the 200 PM's in my Inbox (After I deleted a ton) are "I posted in the help forum, why havn't you replied?!?!"

    The help forum is many pages even though you all only see your own posts. Not to mention some things we have to discuss. Please wait your turn people. We will get to you.

    The PM's are like someone somewhere near the back of the line at Mc'Donald's going "I'm still here, forget all the people in front of me and serve me next."

    My second concern is 40% of help posts are people making mistakes on characters and needing their databases reset so they can remake. Cleaning the DB of a character is a delicate process and if done wrong could delete the wrong character. We would prefer people use a different name and start the characters over until we get to the deletion, remember, we didn't choose your feats for you when you began, and the work gets put on us to help you choose right. SOme people make characters with the same name over and over and over again, having 10 copies in their server vaults.

    Please plan your characters better, go to the single player campaign and build the character, level it to see what effect feats will have.

    You're entirely exaggerating hopefully.

    Other than that - if you want to 'build' your character up front - test everything there is to test (try different hair styles, coloring, feats, how to get into a PrC and so on), then you can use this:

    It is a 'hero creator' which is easy to use - you can get XP for the level you want to have and everything else you might need.

      I have to second this. I get PMs and e-mails constantly from people who are unwilling to use the search feature or have patience. A particular user who I will not mention had the audacity to be rude to a DM and ask what's taking so long only a few hours after they posted their bio!

      This isn't an MMO service. We don't get cheques in the mail for doing this. And we don't exactly get piles of donations.

      A little courtesy and consideration is in order.
      The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

        Even though it should not be needed - I suggest putting up an announcement in the help/request forum and changing the one in the character submission forum to encompass the info that if anyone PMs a staff member before 1 day has passed, the approval will be postponed by one day.

        The help/request forum could also include a list of what should go there and what the priorities of each of the issues are.

        Example:
        Remake character for the 10th time - lowest priority.

        Other than that - you might also include a description of what is expected of ECL characters so that they are granted approval. Does it have to be as detailed as the original character submission to get approval (if it is not the 1st character)?

        Keep in mind - just trying to be helpful with these suggestions.

          I have to admit that i was one of those people, i guess i lost myself, and i apologize for that. I have always known/said that the staff is working hard, and i failed to realize how flooded the help forum must have been.

          Especially to you, GBX, i apologize.
          Heh, i guess my characters are deleted, now. Updating char list soon!

            Just so people know, we have made changes and proposed ideas to render the processing of applications more efficient. Just because it isn't as fast as it could be ideally doesn't mean we are slacking around or ignoring your requests.

              Also, the person you're messaging doesn't need to be a lead to help you. I've recieved a few messages, but if you want someone to address something I can either help you out or send you to who can help you and tell you exactly what to ask for to save everyone time. I spend a great deal of time on the Sundren forums during school and I'm happy to try and help.
