  • Concerning Sundren Insomniacs.

I am sure there are many of you like I, who struggle to sleep during the night and sleep sporadic hours during the day. We often find there is nothing to do during the night hours except for our favorite hobby - for some of you, that might be Sundren.

I currently live in Alaska where insomnia is never few and far in between. The winter nights begin at 4PM and end at 11 AM, and the summer days begin at 3AM and end at 1AM.

In saying such, I'd like to get to know the insomniacs of Sundren - more so the insomniac DMs. So introduce yourself here, in a new sort of greeting, read by those with the same affliction.

Edit: I said winter twice xD Fixed to summer days.

Eastern timezone here. I alternate when I sleep, so chances are I'll see you soon enough.

I used to have trouble sleeping and then I had a kid and I'm so knackered all the time now, I can sleep at will. I can for instance get out of bed having had a nights sleep and have breakfast and then go right back to bed and sleep another 7-8 hours right away if my wife and kid were opportunistically not in the house.

My problem is that I often can't wake up and I have 5 different alarms set to go off in sequence so that I wake up for work. This doesn't always work either.

Kids drain the hell out of you. Have kids, if you still ain't tired have more. Have like ten!

If you don't sleep you'll die.

...which would serve you right for having so many kids.

Meh Pilotwings was better. As for the insomnia, I spend so much time on the computer looking at a bright light that my body shifts to a 25 hour day....it's really annoying. Also being in he Hawaii timezone (which is one step worse than Alaskan), being an insomniac is pretty much the only way not to be on during the dead hours. Atleast this way I can catch the europeans.

I have two, I sleep a little more used to live off 5 hours or so now I think I live off 6-7 hours. When sick I can sleep alot more. I have also stayed up 24+ hours without aid of coffee or such.

My wife is exactly like that were she had five or more alarms and would sleep through them all. Or she would sleep from say 10pm to 8am and still be tired. I think its a lack of iron which guys get more of due to craving meat an other things.

One of em decided to remove all my save games on zelda so I started over grrrr.

Though funny thing is if hunting I do tend to fall asleep at the keyboard some times. I have a lazy boy infront of my desk gotta game comfy.

                    Oh here's a tip.

If you get insomnia, Turn your screen brightness up really high to the point that it slightly strains your eyes and you need to squint a bit. Then turn the lights down in the room and have a beer whilst you are playing. All these combined effects and you will find yourself almost nausious with a desperation to sleep.

If you are a night person or an early bird you have a preference for being awake all night and sleeping in the day or vice versa, you like to get up at the crack of dawn and go to sleep as soon as it gets dark.

These kind of people are the ones screwed in a land like Alaska because they have a light or dark dependant body clock and the time of day has nothing to do with it.

                    Move to Mexico.

Oh, insomnia isn't bad for me xD I was simple asking for people who are insomniac to say hello and what times they usually get on in the wee hours. But I do appreciate the tips <3
