      runners up

      Hi Phantom,

I just want to clarify this for everyone incase they don't know, or for you to clarify it incase I'm completely out of my gourd (Been known to happen "no, no... follow the shoe!" ... ahem).

Previous runners up can(?) be voted for for RPOTM, yes? This would include Lauan, Mozgul, Pom Wader, Braghuru the Ice Hag, and one other that I don't recall at the moment....* cough *

ps. I voted whilst fresh in my mind

Yes, runners up can win the first place award. You can vote for them again. They can't win runner up again for a year.

This is actually a very good point to bring up. Runner-ups CAN win, they just cannot finish 2nd twice.

          Remember that everyone.

I already know who I am going to vote for.

We've experienced a bug with the voting system. Names with apostrophes are causing problems (sorry elves).

I will hold off on announcing any winner this month to see if the issue can be resolved.

Please continue getting your votes in though. I may lump December and January winners together, pending on the results and timing of the fix.

It's not just in names - you can't type any apostrophes in the boxes either

Yeah, Kael said it's in the "reason" textbox. Kind of reminds me of the DMFI language interface. I wonder if they use the same coding system?

Votes are giving strange errors, once I removed all my apostrophes, it said I've already voted for this month... So maybe it's taking votes even when it says errors?? I'm confused.

Anyway, let's hope it was tallied correctly and few others experience the same issue.

If one of your votes came through because it didn't have apostrophes, then it will treat your entire entry as that one for the month. The other vote will be wasted, unfortunately :/

As a side note folks, make sure to cast votes. There were not many votes to tabulate this time around.
