      Looks great definitely.

I always found Diablo 2 crafting quite interesting with the magical jewels, sockets and stuff, I am sure that if recipes/jewels like that will be included to Sundren, it gives a fresh new boost for the good ol' NWN system to make it interesting for new people again.

      Cer'wyïl Durothil - Mix-breed noble elf
      Tredonael - The shapeshifter
Glagnur Frostfury - The arctic dwarf barbarian
Calewyn Gil'Fang - Wood elven archer
Jaegor Ursablad - The wychlaran knight from Rashemen

Have to re-read it looks complicated and confusing, yet uber useful.

going to be hard to make a charactor that can craft everything which is good.

This reminds me of the crafting system we used to have on City of Arabel back in NWN1.
It was really great cos most people would play some part in crafting but not be one giant crafting superstore and you'd get a lot of player groups and trade organisations going on consisting of many players.

At one stage there was a massive player economy going on with huge amounts of cashflow flowing through the playerbase. There were large trade deals between DM factions and player factions and battle fought and some really scary politics all built around crafting.

It was really great fun and I see certain PC's around currently who play a role similar to the ones who built large empires on this sort of thing.

I see some good times ahead.

Remember folks; It's not that fact you craft that will make you rich and powerful, it's who you craft for.

The whole idea is to make the system more involving, and the above describes some of its potential quite well. Only need the players and DM's to make use of it

On the subject of crafting, and seeing as Kaeldorn is lord high majister of crafting justice..

Are we ever likely to see appearance crafting make a return, or is it to badly bugged/exploitable?

I've looked at it for a very brief moment, but it seems the scripts attached to it no longer work along with the setup Sundren has. I can dig deeper later, but as of now I'm already quite busy to say the least.

                    Ah, fair enough..

Never fear, from what you've put up so far about the crafting overhaul I can understand totally that you're snowed with work!

Just give us fair warning before it's released onto the server - I'll need to nail my socks to my feet to stop them being blown off.

                        Sewing kit??? YAY!

Maybe Juney will reconsider her ex-seamstress status once more. Though she's just as likely to take up hang-gliding...

                        Huge props to Kaeldorn x

Appearance crafting is unlikely to return due to problems with the plugin used for it. I have disabled it.

Thats why I have never got about losing XP for crafting.. Why do you get less skillfull the more you work & learn?

If Chopin devolved every time he wrote a piece of music he would have ended life as a tadpole or something, NWN1 had it and I just dont get it!

I have to admit that from an RP perspective, I agree. It makes no sense. Surely one would get better at something the more times they did it. But from a game mechanics point of view it makes sense. Crafting cannot be free, and gold has no value to players in computer games. They have to pay with the only currency that they truly value with their character, exp.
