The chest isn't unique storage, it's specific to the chest. So someone had that room, put something in the second chest which wasn't personal storage. Before I delete it I want to give the person who owned it the opportunity to retrieve it.

Just move it somewhere publicly accessible and call it a good will chest.

I no longer own room one in the four lanterns, sorry.

          *sighs*

I hope the contents weren't that awesome, because I'm not sure if whoever got it now will be so fair to state it here.

If anything, it'll be suspicious if anyone has a lot to sell at Exigo in the near future.

Interestingly the contents are probably mine.

I took the room over the weekend when I found the barman was advertising it as vacant. I saw the contents of the chest and thought I'd put some worthless stuff in the second chest in the room to see if it got a response.

I'm wondering how all this occured as this isn't the first time I've been able to take ownership of a room that was already owned. The first time I took Osclow's room at the Comfort and managed to walk in on him and Annie... yes, awkward, I know.

So seeing the chest contents I wondered if the same thing had occured.

I just checked and the chest contents are all still there, untouched but I'm thinking this might be a bug of some sort with the room ownership system.

So I'm open to suggestions. Anyone?

It's just a rogue chest I have yet to delete, as for room ownership, I have long sinced fixed any known bugs in the inn system, if anyone can verify other wise, do make sure to report it in the bug tracker.

The bug that Janus spoke of I would attribute to severe lag that was occurring at the time. I think the key simply did not disappear while the room was expring (Osclow was still carrying it, but even after Etria gave hers back the room was listed as being free.), and plus, we were IN the room at the time.
