I turned the server off for an hour while I went through the excruciating process of speaking to level 1 support with my ISP until finally (as I said at the beginning of the conversation which lasted 45 mins) they let me swap the modem.
It seems to me just to be a faulty modem, so I'll be swapping it tomorrow.
As always we don't need threads about the server being down etc, the staff has direct contact with me and I monitor the server often. We aren't going anywhere.
On a side note yes I'm working on the IRC, it's a laziness factor more than anything but I do intend to keep it up.
For now I have put the server back up as of this writing, it seems the "issues" are somewhat at random in spikes.
