  • Lag for European Players?

    Is there any on the server? (I guessed the server is based in Canada or the US based on the donation currency).
    Im from england and Ive been on a few RP servers that have it and some that suffer really badly!! Ive most recently come from Baldur's Gate: Sword Coast PW and the lag there was just intolerable.

    Im new and have only just registered on the forums after looking through the site and seeing that it was set along the Spine of the World (I liked the ambience of the Icewind Dale games and decided to have a look!
    Any information about the server, best times of day to play and whatnot would be most appreiciated

    I live in New Zealand, and I very rarely lag. In fact, my dad sometimes opens Skype at the same time I play, and even then the lag is barely noticible. So I'd say it's pretty good.

    Europeans should have it pretty good in terms of play time - even in dead hours such as my play time there's generally 4 ~ 6 players and maybe even a DM on.

    Sundren really is a pretty good choice for RP. Welcome!

      At least one of the DM's is living in Europe, and he has this adorable accent, too.

      That's the only thing I can think to say that pertains to Europe. Cheers.

        Hehe, thanks for the quick reply and greeting! I guess you have to apply for characters on here at creation so Ill download the client and get thinking ^^

        btw;
        From New Zealand you must be virtually attached to Canada though (assuming the world IS round and my geography doesnt suck)!

          That...is a surprisingly good point. I've never thought of that...

          You don't have to apply for characters as far as I know...

              Probably for the best as I can see your keyboard is broken along with problems with your internet connection.
